Gladney Center for Adoption does not care what you look like, the money in your pocket, or the skeletons in your closet. We promise that our table is big enough for you to lay out whatever baggage you might be carrying. This is not a gimmick, this is not a ruse; this is an agency that wants to help.
Gladney Center for Adoption is one of the premier adoption agencies in Fort Worth Texas. We have many pre-screen prospective adoptive families from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities that desire to adopt.
Gladney is the place where hope is born. Gladney has been creating bright futures through adoption in the Dallas-Fort Worth area now for 130 years, and we do this through a number of avenues, but it always starts with our birth mothers.
The Gladney Center for Adoption is named for Edna Gladney, one of our most influential leaders. Edna lived a life of taking care of people experiencing a time of need in their lives, and today the Gladney Center continues to follow our legacy.
Amanda started working with Gladney as an Unplanned Pregnancy Options Counselor in 2004. She was blessed to have also worked as a House Parent and Child Birth Coordinator in Gladney's Dorm. She left to pursue a Master’s Degree in Social Work, and returned to Gladney working as an Options Counselor in 2015. Deciding to reach out and inquire about adoption is a brave step – it humbles her that she has the opportunity to share information about the adoption process and making an adoption plan. Every situation is unique, and it is an honor to be surrounded by such courage throughout the process. Adoption is particularly special to her family as her husband is a Gladney baby!
Ann started working in the Gladney maternity dorm in 2008 while attending college, and she became an adoption options counselor in 2012. Each expectant mother she serves leaves a special place in her heart and inspires her in a very personal way. She has a bachelor's degree in counseling and communications and a master's degree in forensic psychology.
January starts a new year for the Gladney Center for Adoption (formerly known as the Edna Gladney Home) in more ways than one—in addition to kicking off 2017, it marks Gladney’s 130th anniversary. This is a BIG year to celebrate!
Since 1887, Gladney’s name & location have changed several times, & our adoption and post adoption services have grown & adapted to meet the changing needs of the expectant moms, birth parents, children, & adoptive families we serve. What has stayed the same is our commitment to our mission of Creating Bright Futures through Adoption.
Over 130 years, we have learned a lot from you, the Gladney Family. However you are involved & connected to Gladney, we are grateful for you. Thank you for sharing your lives, stories, questions, gifts, hearts, & time with us. Because of you, we are able to continue to share with others what adoption is like today & where we’re going.
